Exclusive details show how the giant lunar resort could reshape tourism

A giant lunar-themed tourism project by Moon World Resorts Inc. is moving closer to reality, with plans to expand across ten countries and attract up to 10 million visitors annually. The destination, called Moon, will combine hospitality, luxury residences, entertainment, and education within a single integrated masterplan.

At its centre will stand a 300+ metre tall spherical structure housing a 4,000-room luxury hotel and an immersive lunar surface experience designed to simulate the Moon. Developers estimate the attraction alone could draw 2.5 million visitors per year.

Potential locations include the United Arab Emirates, China, India, United States and several others, with each project independently owned by regional partners.

Co-founder Michael R. Henderson said 2026 could see the announcement of one or more confirmed sites, subject to government approvals. The estimated $5 billion project is expected to rely on private investment and off-plan residential sales, with the first opening potentially targeted around 2032.
